I love El Paseo and the people who work there. They work like crazy and if you've never worked in a mexican restaraunt I don't suggest putting in an input on the service. I don't believe you know how hard it is to keep up with the many demands of even just a few tables and still do what is required of them. They will always make sure your food is correct and FYI....IT IS NOT ALWAYS THE SERVERS FAULT. If your server is apologetic, he means well and will fix the problem right away. The kitchen makes mistakes too as well as the person traying up your food before it goes out the door and onto your table that is probably crowded with napkins and drinks, that you expect him/her to move so that they can lay the steaming hot plate in front of you for you to most likely criticise for whatever reason. I have always had will always have a great experience at this restaraunt. They are good people just trying to make just like you in this economy. Don't cut thier tip in half either just because you "cant afford it". You know around how much the food was in the rest. you chose to go to. Do not go out to eat at a rest. and punish your server because you cant afford to tip decent. Its 20% now!! NOT 10 OR 15%!!!! I have served a table who's bill at the end of the night was around $90.00 and was left with a tip of $5. They weren't a very high maintence table but when i'm taking several orders and making sure your glasses stay filled I expect to be tipped accordingly. Never waited tables and don't know what thats like? Feel fortunate that you never had to explain not being able to pay your bills because your customers that you took care of don't know how to tip. We have lives, go to school and even have kids were trying to support. You try and buy diapers with a $2 tip that should have been $5. Luckily i'm done with waiting on tables full of people who expect you to kiss thier feet and treat you like your less than human. One word people...R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

THE EL PASEO ON JACKSBORO HIGHWAY IS ONE OF OUR FAMILY FAVORITES! THE FOOD AND SERVICE ARE BOTH GREAT.

My wife, son, and I visited your restaurant in Keller Texas this past Sunday, 09 March 2008. My wife and son give your Mexican food cuisine high marks. However, since I do not care for Mexican food I selected chicken fried steak from your American menu. This had to be the worst "chicken fried steak" I have ever had. I expected a piece of beef dipped in batter and deep fried, just as I would receive in any other restaurant in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Instead, what I received was a piece of "processed" meat with no batter, typical of what you would find in the frozen food section of any supermarket. In addition, due to the toughness of the meat, I can only assume it was cooked/heated in a microwave. I know, if one is going to eat American food, why go to a Mexican restaurant. However, any food you serve, American or Mexican, should be of excellent quality or it shouldn't be on your menu.

My wife and I recently moved to the DFW area and were looking for a good Mexican restaurant in the area. On recommendations of friends we tried El Paseo. The place was busy (which is a good sign of it's quality) but the wait was not long (<15 minutes). The serving staff was quick and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for Mexican in the NW DFW region.
