True to its roots, Fort Worth celebrates its history as a western town with exhibits at the Stockyards Museum and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, as well as its history of involvement with petroleum at the Sid Richardson Museum. Other interesting cultural sights in the city include the Jubilee Theatre and the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Many visitors visit nearby Dallas attractions as well, including its many sports and cultural attractions.

History
Although the original Fort the city is named after is gone, Fort Worth contains a large number of historical sites that commemorate the city's history. Once a rough and tumble town that rivaled Deadwood or Dodge City for notoriety, Fort Worth eventually became more civilized and eventually grew into a respected and beloved city of Texas.
